Restore Weekend

Anytime there is a 5th Sunday in the month, Austin New Church cancels church services and goes out into the community to engage real need. We see this as a form of discipleship where we have the opportunity to be the "Hands and Feet" of Jesus. The initial vision of ANC was to "Serve the Poor and Be About the Kingdom". Restore Weekend is a way of engaging physical, emotional and many times, spiritual need to those who find themselves in the margins.

Below is a LIST with descriptions and links to sign up for multiple opportunities. Be sure to scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to see all of them. By clicking the link, you can REGISTER for the event, or simply ask questions pertaining to that event.

  • Downtown Grill Out (4/29/18)

This this is where ANC began. Downtown serving cheeseburgers to the homeless community of Austin. We meet under the I-35 Bridge (between 7th and 8th streets) and simply meet a phyical need, food. Many times, connections are made to further discussion and help in other ways. But this simple act of obedience has fostered kids being reuited with their mothers, a son being reuited with his parents, friends finding out their friend is still alive as well as helping clothe people for job interviews, providing a coat or blanket in the cold or giving someone who needed them, glasses. • Austin State hospital
