In addition to Akshay and Melinda, we will have six other adults joining us. Since we are going to the beach, all leaders will be required to have gone through CPR certification before beach week. Each adult will have a group of three to four students whom they watch over throughout each day.

We’ll be preparing most meals in the condos

Is this trip right for my kid?

Our youth group is made up of students between the ages of 11 and 18. The maturity levels are all over the map as well as their personalities. It will be completely up to you with your knowledge of your child and their level of maturity if you send them for beach week or not. Seeing as we will be staying in vacation condos rather than run-down youth camp cabins, we have to stay somewhat tidy and treat the condos like we treat our homes. The manager at this location wasn’t necessarily thrilled to know we were bringing 30 tweens and teens to their condos but they went out on a limb for us. It’s important that we make a good impression on the staff so that we can do this again in the future.
