Santa Rita Easter Eggs

SIGN UP HERE to donate easter eggs. More info below!

This will be the last Easter at Santa Rita for quite some time, since the housing project is being torn down later this year and rebuilt.  Miss Lupe wants to have a great Easter celebration for the kids there and plans to do an Easter Egg hunt and needs help from us to supply the eggs.  We need 38 dozen plastic eggs filled with candy and/or small toys. Remember what it was like for you as a kid, and fill the eggs with goodness.   They need to be brought to ANC by April 13th or they can be shipped to Terra Brimberry by April 9th.

Contemplative Retreat

Contemplative Retreat

https://afaithfulpresence.org/retreats

Come away with a small community of fellow pilgrims to Cedarbrake Renewal Center in Temple, TX for a spiritual retreat —> rest, movement, meditation, life-giving rhythms, creativity, connection, nourishing meals, and a beautiful setting in the woods of north central Texas.

Hosts: Catherine & Dustin

Catherine Johnston is a pastor at Austin New Church, graduate student, nature-lover, writer, and mother of three. She feels called to invite others into spiritual spaces of connection, creativity, presence, and play. You can find some of her work at In Between.

Dustin Hite is a spiritual director, missional neighbor at Community First! Village, husband to a swiftie, and a father of two. He has training in Ignatian spirituality and has been leading contemplative retreats for a decade. He loves to create spaces of deep presence, peace, and reflection.

Cost: $375

Includes: 2 nights lodging in private room/bathroom with a small sitting area, 5 meals, drinks, snacks, access to Cedarbrake’s lodge and grounds with trails to explore, outdoor sit spots, prayer labyrinth, and countless stars on a clear night.

Theme: “Building our Capacity for Love”

When we are in an environment that is supportive for our overall flourishing, we become more integrated and love comes more easily: Love for ourselves with a deeper sense of self-worth, Love for others through empathy and acceptance, and love flowing both to & from the Divine. In addition to intentional rhythms and holistic spiritual practices, we’ll also be reflecting upon the intersection of several models for human flourishing, including the Enneagram, the Critical Journey, and Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Next Steps:

We are hoping to finalize registration by December 15th. Questions? Contact Catherine or Dustin

Fill out this form and then you can Venmo Dustin here or make 4 payments of $95.

Make The Yuletide Gay w/ Flamy Grant, Crys Matthews & Heather Mae

GET TICKETS HERE

Crys Matthews, the poster child for intersectionality and Flamy Grant, the "Bible Belt Baby" are teaming up once again to pick up where the Winter Magic Tour left off, and they're bringing some friends. This December, the Make the Yuletide Gay tour is hitting the road with Jennifer Knapp, Heather Mae, and Spencer LaJoy to spread a little holiday cheer and a whole lot of faith-infused LGBTQ+ joy!

Armed with a bold lip and a blistering voice, Flamy Grant is brilliant, resilient proof that nothing is sacred (but everything is holy) and shame belongs in the closet. A preacher's kid and former drum major, troubadour of truth Crys Matthews is among the brightest stars of the new generation of social justice music-makers. With new releases under their belts, both Matthews and Grant are joining forces with three other artists who also use the art to light up these dark times.
